Last Days of School and Birthday

The girls in their new Fancy Nancy attire on their birthday! They were so excited to finally be FANCY!!

Birthday girls! They were so excited about turning six this year. Kennedy told me, "I have been waiting for this my whole life!" I am not sure what it is about being 6 that is so exciting but they sure were excited about it!

Maddie and her teacher Ms. Ebbers. Maddie loved her teacher this year. She was great and you could tell she loved teaching!

Kindergarten memories! Maddie with Her memory book. She was so proud of it she wanted a picture with it!

Kennedy and her teacher Mrs. Fraser. She was a tough teacher but Kennedy LOVED her. She gave about an hour of homework (at least that is how long it took Kennedy to do it, on a good night) a day. It was a long year but I can tell the difference in the girls reading abilities because she pushed her.

Kennnedy and her man, Seth! She was so excited (as you can tell) to get a picture with Seth! Kennedy said that Seth and her were, "Possibly Soul Mates." She fought to sit by Seth everyday in lunch with a girl in her class. Sadly, he moved about 2 weeks ago and Kennedy has been crushed. But before he left she was able to GRILL him. The conversation went just like this:

Kennedy: "Seth, why did you say that you were going to marry, Grace Anne?"

Seth: "I didn't say that!"

Kennedy: "Yes, you did. I heard you say, Enie, Meany, Miny, Mow, I am going to marry Grace Anne!" She was pointing her finger from her to her invisible Grace Anne.

Seth: Poor kid, looking confused, caught... replied, "I don't know what you are talking about."

Maddie joins in: "Seth, Kennedy is in love with you!"

Kennedy: "MADDIE! I am not!"

Maddie: "Yes, you are. You wrote it outside on the porch! Kennedy plus Seth!"

Kennedy: "Okay, I do..."

Oh it was so funny!!! I only wish I could have recorded it with a camera. PRICELESS!!!

Kennedy with her Memory book, "diploma" and her citizenship award (metal around her neck). She was so proud of that metal she wore it for days! She declared, "Mom, this is my first metal of my life!" I am telling you this girl is DRAMA!!

Maddie playing Flag Football (kind of). We found out that my girls are better cheerleaders than participates. Maddie was watching her 50 yard dash on my camera and said, "Mom, look how fast those people are running. Why am I not going very fast?" She thought it was a camera malfunction!
Kennedy before the two legged race on field day. She too didn't understand why the camera made everyone go so fast, but her!

One of the many dress-up days at school. I couldn't believe how many there were. ONE A WEEK!! I am not a good mom, we didn't do it weekly, only when I had stuff around the house. The first month I did it every week and it was just too expensive to keep it up. Anyway, They LOVED this dress up day. They think this is what "farm people" wear, not to be confused with coy girls. Evidently, I missed something with the outfit to make it cow girl apparel!

I just downloaded my camera and noticed all the memories that have gone on over the last few weeks. I didn't want to forget them!

Haha!! Wow, I am cracking up, especially at the conversation with that poor little boy! Speaking as a mother of little boys, I can honestly say little boys in Kindergarten aren't even THINKING that way yet!! Oh man...that is hilarious!
