New goal and new pictures

I do not know why you have to move the pictures once you download them. It is difficult for me. Typing entries and then moving the pictures. All my friends blogs look amazing and they do this...unless they know some trick to it that I do not. You guys are amazing! I am sure it is not as hard as I make it. Anyway, this is Kennedy and Jake dancing and jumping in the sandbox that they emptied and filled with the water from the pool in the back ground. They were having so much fun that I couldn't tell them to stop.

This is Jake "swimming" in the sandbox. I think that this was more his size. He kept laying on his stomach telling me, "look mama, I am swimming!" He was so proud of himself. I LOVE his smile!

Kennedy really wanted a picture of herself! The only problem is this child can not sit still for anything. It is so hard to take pictures of her! She provides a lot of comic relief for our family!

Maddie had her teeth pull right after I had Eli. She had fallen on them when she was 18 months old and they turned grey. They told us she might have to have them pulled at some point if they became infected. The time came. I think she looks cute. Kennedy told her she looked different and she didn't like it. Poor Maddie was in tears. I think she is finally getting use to it.

I had Matthew hold Eli for me while I finished up the kitchen and I came around the corner to him and Eli both with heavy eyes!

Matthew made ice cream cones for us on Saturday after playing softball outside. He was sitting on the floor because we have out grown our table (we only have 4 chairs and Jake now like to sit in a booster sit at the table). He was slowly joined on the floor by all the kids.

Jake ejoyed Matthew's cone too...

and Maddie's cone...

and Kennedy's cone!

Kennedy and Maddie carry around their softball gloves everywhere. Kennedy brought hers to church last sunday to show everyone because she was the spot light. Spot Light people are suppose to bring a bag full of things about themselves. Kennedy was so funny!

Jake and his smile!

The kids playing. Is this not too cute!

I am terrible at posting and after reading my friend, Christy's blog I want to do better. I hope that at the end of the year that I will be able to make a blog book. So, for journal purposes I am going to do better...well, I am really going to try...

The girls had their kindergarten check-up's last week. They had to get 5 shots. Kennedy did really well and did not cry to bad at all. Maddie about had a nervous break down. She was screaming before they even gave her the shot and the nurse and myself had to hold her down. Normally she is really good about shots. In the past she never cried. Her eyes would water up but that is it. Kennedy would be the one who would cry, but nothing like this episode. Ever since we went to the allergist to get tested about 3 months ago Maddie has never been the same. They did about 5 hours of testing and it was horrible. It wasn't like I had imagined at all from what Matthew told me. The girls now get weekly allergy shots so, I thought they would be shot pros but that isn't the case.

Kennedy weighed in at 31 pounds and 42 inches tall. Maddie was 32 pounds and 42 1/2 inches tall. They both had good vision as of now and I am so excited about that. Maddie did great on her hearing test. Kennedy was on the low side of passing but this was no surprise to us because of the serve ear infections she has had and continues to have. I am hoping there is no permanent damage. Only time will tell the doctor said because kids at this age do not really do well on hearing tests.

They were so excited when the doctor visit was over and they were now allowed to go to school in August. I am excited too! They are really going to enjoy school.

The girls are growing up so fast. I am wondering at times were I have gone wrong in my parenting some days when I am about to break down in tears because we have had so much fighting and back talk. It is something they really started doing a lot when I was about 5 months or so pregnant with Eli. I was blaming it on the fact that I couldn't walk around and keep after them like I use to. Now I do not have anything to blame it on but me! I really am going to have to crack down on this. So, if any one has any good ideas or things that have worked for them, let me know. I have tried charts but they only last for about a month or so. Time outs, bribes, you name it.

Jake it all smiles. He really is such a good kid. He always says please and thank you with out me telling him to. He loves to give hugs and kisses. He loves playing outside (like most boys) and "mows" our yard all day long. Jake also loves his cars. He likes to make them go down his slide. He thinks this is great fun and does it daily. Jacob also loves to go bye-bye. After breakfast he will start down the list of places he wants to go. It usually goes like this, "I want to go to target." I will tell him we do not need to go to target today. "I want to go to church." I will tell him it isn't church day. And so he goes on. It is pretty funny. He does it every morning. (Gloria, when he asked to go play with Parker and Jaxson and I told him you moved away he told me NO!)

Eli is a handful. This little guy does NOT sleep. He has finally started to take 1 hour to 30 minute or so naps during the day, some days. Nights are so hard. He wakes up almost every 30 minutes or less. All he wants to do is be held and nurse. I do well with it for about a week and then I about go crazy. I get daily migraines and by the 7th day they (the Migraines) wipe me out. None of the others had such a hard time sleeping like this-that is that I remember. If they did I have mentally blocked it out. Eli is gaining weight fast! I again have never had a child gain so quickly but no other child wanted to nurse 24/7! I do not know his weight because I haven't been to the doctor since his 4 week check and he was 6lbs 2oz (I think) then and I know now he has to be atleast 12lbs.

Matthew is working more hours. Some people at work have quit and therefore his load has become full. He called me the other day after he had ran from his car to the court house and he was so excited that he could breath. He has felt so much better since his surgery and I am so grateful!

Yay! We can have blogging goals together! I agree with you, it's so annoying to have to move the pictures around. Oh by the way, we have that same sandbox! Although we can't seem to keep sand IN the sandbox, it's all over the backyard! I have lots to say about your post so I'll email you.
