I am about to compile a 2008 blog book. I am very excited about this! If anyone has done this already and has advice they can give, please do!! I need all the help that I can get!
I wanted to recap 2008 for my last entry, so here it goes…
We started out 2008 making and already breaking new year resolutions. I have always went through with the motions of making new years resolutions but never really following through with them. This year wasn't any different.
The first week of March we were surprised with an amazing 5-6 inches of snow! It was beautiful! I stared out the window and watched it fall. I was more excited than the kids, if that is possible...yeah it was! It started in the afternoon and went all through the night into the early morning hours of the following day. The kids had a blast and played in it several times off and on for two days. The girls got sick throwing up all day long for the following 48 hours, but hey they had fun in the snow! In March Matthew and I also celebrated 6 years of marriage. We went out to eat at Ruth Chris and enjoyed spending time together. It was a nice treat!
In April we had our 4th child, Eli. I must say we were a little nervous at his 4 week early arrival and were praying we didn’t have to go through another NICU experience. Matthew and I were thrilled to hear Eli was healthy and doing great!
In May Matthew had heart surgery and no it wasn’t because we just had our fourth child. His surgery went better than the doctors thought it would in every aspect. Matthew didn’t have to get a pace maker and we were so grateful. Matthew once again reclaimed his title as “Super Man!”
The girls started school in August. They were so excited. It was hard for me and I spend about a month crying off and on because I missed them. They spent that same month crying and having trouble adjusting being away from each other. Now the girls love school and I enjoy being able to spend some time with the boys at home. Funny thing is every time I go into Walmart I have several employees ask me were the girls are. I make a statment everywhere I go with 4 kids so close in age! I guess it is good to be remember, right?
In September Kennedy went in to the cardiologist to find out wither her labored breathing and chest pain while moving around and some times sitting was asthma or something else. Doctor said it could be exercise induce asthma or her heart was slipping in and out of a fast rhythmic beat because of something in her EKG. She is still being monitored and we are still unsure of exactly what is going on.
In October Matthew celebrated his year mark at Sigmon Law Firm. He still loves his job despite his long hours. We feel especially grateful to have a job right now and even more grateful it is one that Matthew loves. I ran my first 5K the second weekend in October. It was a lot of fun. My brother asked me to run the Music City ½ Marathon in April 2009 with him and his wife as well as my sister Lindsey. I am excited for this new adventure!
In December we had a great enjoyable Christmas with family. The kids had so much fun playing with all of their cousins. Matthew and I were reminded once again how wonderful it is to be around family and wish we lived closer. We are grateful for all 2008 brought into our lives, the good and the bad. It has made us better people and has brought us closer together. It has also helped us see and feel the blessing of our Savior and for that we are very grateful.
We are very excited to see what 2009 brings!

Let me know how it turns out. Someone mentioned this to me and I think it sounds like a good idea.
I made a blurb book at the end of '07 and I absolutely treasure it. It was worth the many countless hours I spent working on it. In 2008 I tried to keep up with it a little better and added to the blurb book at the end of every month (or so). I'm almost finished and ready to order. It was quite frustrating and time-consuming when I started though. Don't get discouraged...it is totally worth it! Feel free to email me if you have any ?s or run in to any problems. :)
Thanks Jen! I might just take you up on that. I made a memory book on blurb book for Christmas. Took me forever to learn the program! I took me hours to make it. I am hoping know that I know the program a little better it won't be so hard. We shall see...
Oh my word, your kids are ADORABLE! I can't believe that they are so big! I'm excited to have a way to keep up with you now!
