Our Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas. We were able to see and spend a lot of time with family. It was so much fun and I was sad to see it end. Here are a some pictures I have of our Christmas happenings. (My camera died early on and I used my dad's and sisters cameras and I haven't gotten those pictures.)

We thought that we would make a ginger bread house with the kids the weekend before we left to my parents. I was hoping for a family night full of fun and laughter. I felt that I was constantly say, "It doesn't matter who puts that piece of candy on." "Please sit down." "If you eat all the candy there won't be any to put on the house." "Kennedy and Maddie, please stop fighting, Jake stop whinning!" "Please, guys..." Matthew decided sometime family time is not very fun. I was left after we got into bed feeling like a horrible parent and I need to not be so up tight! That night I prayed once again to be a better parent!"

This family activity went much better. It was a lot of fun and full of funny face and lots of laughts!

Kennedy and "Baby Gabe"

What a sweet face! I love his smiles!

When we got together at Matthew's side of the family Christmas the grandchildren acted out The Christmas Story. Maddie was the star (Although, once we got there we found out she was suppose to be an angel. She was so worried that she wasn't what she was suppose to be and there was already a star. Poor thing came in the back room while I was dressing Jake and was about ready to cry. Luckily, at her age an I am sorry and a hug and a kiss can make everything okay.) Jake was a shepherd and Kennedy was Mary.

My Mom and brother made this weed eater. They did an amazing job and made this little boys YEAR! I was blown away with my mothers creativity and my brothers ablilty to build what she wanted.

Maddie, Christmas morning with her cheap imitation of the Biscuit Puppy.

My brother in law, Joe made ginger bread houses with the girls again. The girls had SO MUCH FUN! Shortly after these pictures were taken they candy was eaten and the houses were sand in the girls hands and I smiled all the while. See, prayers are answered! I was able to be a better parent this time around.

Maddie was at Joe's heels the whole time that he was there. She says, "Uncle Joe is handsome."

Oh my heck Jenny, we are living parallel lives. I got that same gingerbread house kit, (only we did it last week b/c I got the kit for $2 on clearance...lol!) and I was stressing out the whole time with the kids being so crazy! Josh told me I need to lighten up! Oh man...if only it were that easy...
