Zoo Boo and Pumkin Patch

While the other kids had fun playing on all the fun stuff they had there Jake had more important things to do...MOW...

and MOW....

...and mow! Anyone who knows Jake is not surprised by this at all!

Pumpkin Patch fun!

Eli thought it was fun to pick the pumpkins up and throw them down. It was a good thing they were so little!

Zoo BOO FUN!!! Trying to get a family picture is a JOKE sometimes!! It was so cold and we just got done watching the DUMBEST magic show in the world and I do mean dumbest!

We went to the Zoo Boo a couple weekends ago. I thought that it would be a fun experience for the kids but I think it was more scarring than anything...for the girls anyway. I took the girls and Jake on the hayride while Matthew stayed back with Eli in the stroller. The hayride went through this part they had decorated just for the ride. They had mummies, bats, arms coming out the the ground, etc. It wasn't scary, I thought but the girls had a hard time with it. They were concerned what happened to our bodies when we died. I told them that they decomposed (not a smart idea on my part). We spent some time talking about what decomposing meant in a kid friendly way. They were in tears over their love ones who had passed on. Particularly, their Mama Deb. After much discussion and some very sad girls I ended up telling them that our bodies didn't really decompose, I had just miss spoke. The girls were okay with that and shortly after were able to have fun again. I am not sure how bad I scarred them this time. I am hoping not too bad.

The Pumpkin Patch was brought a lot more smiles. We rode the hayride picked out pumpkins, played and played and played. It was a lot of fun!

It looks like ya'll have been doing so way fun festive things. You guys are great parents! And yes, taking your own family picture is next to impossible. E for effort though! Every year they get older, it'll get easier!
