On Friday, January 4th Jacob received PE tubes. He is our third child to get them. He had his surgery early Friday morning. The surgery is about 10 minutes. Matthew and I felt fine about the surgery, having experienced it twice before, it was just the anaesthesia that made us nervous, as I am sure it would any parent. I do have to say that after about 20 minutes we started to get a little nervous because both of our girls were done by that time. The nurse later came and got us, to our relief. Jake did pretty well waking up. It is never fun to watch you child cry and flay around for an hour. I was glad when it was over. You feel so helpless. When the doctor came in to talk to us he told just that Jacob had a lot of thick puss in his ears that he vacuumed out. He said it was so thick that Jacob should be hearing much better and that he was hopeful that his ear would be able to drain well in the future.
Three days later Jacob is happy, hasn't been falling down nearly as much and has been fever free. This is a vast improvement! I had a friend who watched Jacob while I went to the doctor a few months ago and she told me he keep falling down. She didn't know if the pavement in her back yard was that un-level or not. LOL!
We are all grateful Jacob is doing well. Thank you Mom, Dad and Lindsey for all your help! We love you!
