Aquarium

Last week after Camp Nonna the girls and I (and my parents, which I had to do some serious talking in to) went to the Chattanooga Aquarium. On the way, I think that we stopped several times and let me just say that my Dad is amazing! I do not know to many men or even women for that matter that could stop 100 times because of crying children or bathroom breaks and NEVER once get upset. Once we got there we all had lots of fun! I think the highlight for the girls was being able to pet the Sting Rays. Jake really enjoyed this too. He was screaming and laughing the whole time. The girls have asked several times since we have been home, "when can we go back!" Poor Matthew hasn't been since grade school and was so sad that he couldn't be there with us. See, we have an infatuation with salt water fish. Matthew and I look on the Internet for fish for our dream tank! The girls and Jake have joined with us in this infatuation. They have been going to pet stores around the house with Matthew picking out fish! Anyway, here are some pictures. Thanks Mom and Dad for putting up with us!

Maddie

Jake had a hard time sitting still. He was having too much fun for pictures.

The girls were fascinated with this "stuffed sea horse". I will have to have Matthew elaborate why they are so interested in "stuffed" animals.

Oma and Jake looking for Sea horses.

Isn't that the biggest crab you have ever seen. By the way, crawling in that thing was havoc on my knees. I am not as young as I once was!

Please don't eat me!

"Wow, that is one big turtle shell, Mommy."

Jake was enthralled with these fish. He was laughing and screaming at them the whole time.

These are actually African fresh water sting rays. Aren't they beautiful.

Family picture. Once again Jacob down!

Kennedy and Maddie. They are all wet from petting the sting rays. Kennedy had her mouth and nose under the water trying to pet them. Kennedy kept telling, "Mom I had my nose under the water on that one." She was a pro and touching them by the time we left. She was giving Maddie tips. Maddie was a little unsure. After multiple failed attempts, Maddie was ecstatic when she finally touched one. I had to pull them away from the tank! Aren't they so adorable! I sure am going to miss them around the house!

Hahaha it's because of where you live...here in Utah no one would give you a second glance with 4 kids under 5!!
I remember once in TN when I was in high school we went to get a family picture made and another family was there waiting as well. The little boy looked at our family and asked his mom, "is that all one family?" and his mom said, "yes! that's like you, and your sister, and another, and ANOTHER!!" It still makes me laugh! Cute pics of your kids!
